For the first time, the famed South Kensington Museum is offering event organisers the opportunity to enquire about exclusive hire of the entire Museum, for large-scale, full day events – allowing guests to see the Museum, and its fascinating specimens, in a whole new light.
The Museum has also added the brand-new Garden Kitchen to its portfolio - a new venue hire space available for exclusive day-hire and evening events, where guests can spill outside into the stunning Evolution Garden.

Robert Wetherell, Head of Events and Catering at the Natural History Museum said; “The Natural History Museum is a celebrated venue with its sweeping Romanesque arches and intriguing specimens around every corner including the awe-inspiring Hope – a 25-metre blue whale skeleton.
“We’re delighted to share the wonder of the Museum in a new way this year as we introduce, for the first time, the opportunity to exclusively hire the Museum for a full day, as well as opening our brand-new Garden Kitchen.
“We’re on a mission to create advocates for the planet, and hosting events at the Museum helps us to support the vital work of our 350 scientists, who are finding solutions to the planetary emergency.”
Ideal for large scale events, filming, launches, conferences and full-scale activations, the whole Museum hire will see full-day exclusive access to the Hintze Hall, Earth Hall - alongside a six-metre-long Stegosaurus called Sophie – and galleries such as the Wildlife Photographer of the Year Gallery and the Dinosaur Gallery.
The newest addition to Museum’s venue hire portfolio is the Garden Kitchen, nestled within the recently transformed gardens.

The vast open-plan space featuring wooden beams and huge expansive windows is available for hire after-hours, making it the perfect summer party venue. Here, amongst the beautiful planting, guests can enjoy drink receptions inside or outside, soaking in the sights and sounds of nature.
Robert Wetherell continues; “Architects Feilden Fowles designed the highly sustainable timber and stone building to complement the Museum, which offers a special new space in the London event scene, holding up to 300 for standing or 100 for dinner. This new and incredible space opens directly into the Evolution Garden, where our newest diplodocus Fern gazes down on an immersive timeline of life on earth, told through flowers, plants, geology and brass inlays of creatures.”
This tranquil oasis in the heart of London also offers a further unique and exclusive daytime or evening hire option – the Garden Kitchen’s purpose-built 70-person meeting space, The Garden Room, an octagonal space with huge floor to ceiling windows looking out onto the gardens. What better way to conduct conferences than under the watchful gaze of a full-size Diplodocus.
The Garden Kitchen is also open to the public during the day. Visitors can enjoy a seasonal menu and their favourite drinks, courtesy of Benugo, with a stunning view of the incredible urban green space in the heart of London.
The Museum continues to offer spaces such as Hintze Hall, Earth Hall, Darwin Centre, Wildlife Photographer of the Year and more.
