January 2024
Opening on the 9 February, the Courtauld Gallery are hosting a remarkable series of hauntingly beautiful, large-scale drawings by Frank Auerbach. Born in 1931, the works were made in the post-war period between the 1950s and 60s and have not been brought together as a comprehensive group before.

The works give an insight into Auerbach’s process; spending months on each drawing, working and reworking them during numerous sessions with each sitter.
The exhibition will be a unique opportunity to see early masterpieces by one of the world’s most celebrated living artists.

The exhibition runs until 27 May 2024 and will be held in the Denise Coates Exhibition Galleries, located off of the LVMH Great Room which houses our one of a kind Impressionist and post-Impressionist collection, offering the perfect space for a reception or breakfast.
