There's less than two weeks to go until a brand new exhibition, Life Through a Royal Lens opens at Kensington Palace.
Opening on 4 March, this new exhibition explores the Royal Family through photography. Featuring work from renowned photographers such as Cecil Beaton, Rankin, Annie Leibovitz and Norman Parkinson alongside a selection of images taken by Royal Family members themselves, this new temporary exhibition is a must see for 2022.
For almost 200 years the medium of photography has created an unprecedented intimacy between Sovereign and subjects. The new display explores the British Royal Family’s enduring relationship with the camera; from Queen Victoria and Prince Albert’s patronage of photography during its infancy to lesser known intimate family portraits, spanning from the 19th century right up until the present day.
For an extra special visit why not enjoy a private morning tour. Arriving at 09:00, guests will be greeted by a Kensington Palace Explainer. They can walk in the footsteps of Georgian royals through the magnificent State Apartments, or be immersed in a private exhibition viewing of ‘Life through a Royal Lens’. From 10:00 Kensington Palace opens to the public and guests are welcome to continue exploring the palace and landscaped gardens at their leisure.
