Wallace Wine Club: a Taste of France Friday 6th November £50

 

Leaves are turning and so are our thoughts, to the deeper, more indulgent delights that autumn brings... Amongst them, game, cheese and fine wine.

The Wallace Wine Club provides a convivial space to convene on a Friday evening and learn more about French wine and fine foods. Our wine expert Phil Barnet from Les Cave des Pyrene who is in charge of our wine, has designed a series of events to cater to interested novices or out-and-proud oenophiles.

We commence the season on Friday 6th November with a three course autumnal French menu with cheese and wine pairing.

Meeting at 6.30pm, guests will be greeted with an aperitif, before Phil presents six French wines chosen to pair with the Wallace Restaurants set menu below:

Salad of roast beetroot, Roquefort, mesclun leaves, smoked almonds

MAIN COURSE
Roast Venison, turnip tops, celeriac puree, sautéed girolles
or
Pearl barley & roast shallot risotto, crispy duck egg, tarragon (v)

CHEESE COURSE
Fourme d'ambert, fresh walnuts and quince jelly
