Pinstripes and Peonies

Thursday, April 5, 2018 - 09:30

March was the month that saw a lot of building projects for Team Pinstripes & Peonies (or, let’s be honest, a lot of building projects for the wonderful Vaso), the first of which came about for the UVL Supplier Showcase at the Royal Horticultural Halls.

Never ones to shy away from an opportunity to show off, and under the visionary direction of our Creative Director extraordinaire, Ruari, the team constructed the ‘Ribbon Room’; a large, cube frame decorated with a vibrant rainbow of criss-crossed ribbons extending from every angle. We then filled this with what we do best, a collection of different floral arrangements including a large pedestal, low table arrangements, mini urns, bridal bouquets, buttonholes and more. As this year is ‘The Year of the Wedding’ at Pinstripes with the launch of our sister brand, Pinstripes and Peonies Weddings, we kept colour palettes to beautiful blush, delicate pastels or classic white and creams to showcase that ‘we’re more than just corporate.’

Our flowers weren’t just confined to the Ribbon Room for the showcase however, as we took the opportunity to help out some of our friends as well. For Moving Venue, we brought beds of tall, luscious delphinium to go around their picket fence and complement to their garden-themed food station. Over at Food Show’s food station we provided tall, pale wood manzanita trees decorated with foliage, small clusters of florals and hanging glass baubles for displaying their delicious cake. As the final touch we brought two large guaxs vases filled with just in season delphinium for the bar, and petite fishbowl vases with pastel coloured posies for the poseur tables (trying saying that fast, four times over...). It was a wonderful evening seeing lots of friendly faces from across the industry and getting to meet lots of new ones over cocktails and canapes.
