Pinstripes and Peonies were privileged to be asked to present at the Rose Theatre at RHS Hampton Court Flower Show this year, making their very own Ruari McCulloch a bit of a celebrity (Someone actually asked for his autograph and it wasn't even his Mum!).
The team, in usual fashion, decided to do something a little unusual for the presentation. 'What's the fun in talking about flowers when the joy comes in arranging and playing with them?' Says Ruari. They decided upon the genius (ridiculous) idea of giving 200 people the chance to make flower headbands. The team felt it sounded simple enough...
So, in a baking hot tent, the Pinstripes and Peonies team sweated and ran around as their fearless leader guided his audience through the process of making beautiful floral headbands. Each person had a pack containing everything they'd need including beautiful, fresh flowers including roses, spray roses, scabious and gorgeous wax flowers.
So was the sweating worth it? This creative team certainly think so. As they all sat down after and enjoyed a well-deserved Pimms, ladies (and gentleman) were seen walking through this wonderful show wearing their own, self-made headbands with large grins on their faces. Isn't that what it's all about?
'This was the best day ever and the greatest thing I've ever seen'. Every member of the audience. Probably.
