Pinstripes and Peonies brings Swinging 60's to Natural History Museum

Monday, July 23, 2018 - 12:30

The Pinstripes and Peonies team were recently presented with a very exciting challenge from the team at Relish Events. Could they build the front of a VW campervan to scale and bring into the Natural History Museum for a Swinging 60s themed party? Not a doubt in our mind, of course they could! It would be the ultimate homage to Flower Power.

Pulling in the best of the best to help with this challenge, researching exact dimensions, creating a base frame and ordering every 60s inspired, vibrant pink flower they could think of, the excitement in the Pinstripes and Peonies office was tangible and everyone wanted their turn taking a photograph with their grooviest creation to date.

An XL ‘skateboard’ was created and, with this, the campervan majestically glided into the doors of the Natural History Museum.  The campervan wasn’t the first unique design the team have been asked to bring into an unusual space however. It has entered Pinstripes and Peonies' Hall of Fame along with Brian, the larger than life peacock who has already graced the V&A Museum and the tropical parrot created for Chelsea in Bloom. Brian and the monkeys were so popular on their debut that we were asked to adapt and re-exhibit them at the Kew Gardens orchid festival.
