The Royal Opera House, home to the Royal Ballet and Opera is a long-established cultural Institution in the beating heart of Covent Garden.

Built in 1858, extended in 1999, and refreshed in 2018, the venue now offers state of the art opportunities for daytime and evening events throughout the year around its extensive performing schedule.

Many remain unaware that nestling just below the popular Ground Floor Cafe is a hugely versatile second theatre: the Linbury Theatre, which hosts new and often groundbreaking opera and ballet by both the resident and visiting performing companies throughout the year.

The renewed and incredibly versatile theatre space offers the chance to host an event theatre style, in the round or on a flat floor. The theatre provides a versatile space, excellent for private performances, conferences, experiential events, and dinners, with a seating capacity up to 393. The theatre’s technical team are available to support your event too. The adjoining Linbury Foyer has capacity for 260.

This summer a rare gap in the busy ROH schedule means the Linbury is available to hire for 3 weeks from 14 July – 3 August 2025. They are offering competitive hire rates for bookings during this 3-week period.
