The Recipe

On the 18th of March the-recipe catered the World Premiere of Series 5 of Game Of Thrones. This was the first time the world premiere has been held in the capital and the star-studded red carpet event took place in the moat at the Tower of London.

The 1,000 guests watched the first episode in a custom built cinema before making their way into the after party where guests got to mingle with the stars and have photo opportunities with the original Iron Throne from the series

Champagne and a bespoke softails “Daenerys Kiss” made from Juniper infused Apple Juice, Lemon Juice & Grapefruit Sherbet were served alongside a bespoke menu created for the event

The food included static displays served on real turf of: Moss laden cheese straws, edible gardens with black olive “soil” and Billy Franks Jerky

The circulating food was:

Suckling Pig with Compressed Apple, Potato Puree, Black Pudding, Cavalo Nero, Cider Jus and Crackling.

Rolled Leg of Lamb, Cannelini Bean Puree, Barley and Bean Broth, Salsa Verde & Red Amaranth

Fillet of Seabass, Saffron Yoghurt, Pickled Chillis, Wild Grains & Pomegranate Molasses

Roasted Butternut Squash Risotto, Crispy Leeks, Mascarpone & Toasted Seeds

“Boulders of Salt Cod Brandade & Lemon Crème Fraiche and “Spears” of Roasted Vegetables with Tahini & Sumac

To round off the food service waiting staff, who were dressed in custom made tunics for the evening, served Baked Alaska Lollipops & Chocolate Jaffa Cones, Apricot Tapioca Crispies
