Revolutionising Transatlantic Events - London x New York

Monday, November 1, 2021 - 18:00

November 2021 is an exciting month for the international meetings and events sector.  It welcomes the return of an ‘in-person’ IMEX Vegas and also signals the return of air travel between the UK and USA.  Of wider, more global interest, it is the month where world leaders come together to address future climate strategy at COP26.  In a month where UK and US connections resume once again and when the spotlight is shone on the impact heightened global activity has had on the planet, it is a perfect opportunity to remind ourselves that you need not travel ‘across the pond’ to connect with colleagues, partners and clients; you can do it all from your own city, thanks to an exciting and innovative concept.

Bubble Food , known for its creativity in the kitchen and one of Guildhall’s accredited caterers, earlier this year partnered with Pinch Food Design in New York to launch a highly innovative solution that is set to reimagine transatlantic events.

Working alongside Guildhall, an iconic London venue in the heart of the City, and 620 Loft & Garden in central New York, each leading venues in their respective cities, Bubble and Pinch showcased a new era of transatlantic events through an exciting and energising video.

The concept shows how through a single contact, private clients, corporates, brands and charities can organise showstopping events in two locations, 3000 miles apart, that are one and the same. The video follows two groups in London and New York enjoying identical menus, design, production and entertainment with a seamless coordination between the locations leading to a harmonious and completely mirrored guest experience. Live streaming united the venues with a run-of-show that brought the events under one host, making it ideal for press launches, town halls, auctions and galas.

Showcasing the concept with the support of Guildhall in London and 620 Loft & Garden in New York this innovative solution allows venues to bring people together across different time zones and countries, and make guests feel they are part of the same experience.

Travel restrictions over the past 18-months have led many businesses to reconsider the necessity of corporate travel in a post-Covid world, heightened by the ongoing need for all companies to examine their impact on the environment. The hybrid event – with guests physically attending to experience the food, drink, entertainment and visceral joy of being in the company of others, combined with advances in video technology and streaming to connect groups in other parts of the world – has been predicted to be a long-term solution for brand marketers and private individuals alike.
