Rocket Food had the recent pleasure of catering for a fabulous outdoor party, held in the V&A’s John Madejski garden, where the high-energy evening was matched with bright colours and a flavourful menu.
In order to convey the cool, cosmopolitan party vibe through our food and styling, Rocket served up Asian Dim Sum, Hawaiian poké and Japanese Robata skewers alongside a wide range of punchy canapés. Crab and mango atop of lotus root crisps; tomato, chilli and avocado tartare; miso glazed salmon; these were just some of the canapés on offer.
The following dishes were just as exciting, displayed on the six-foot food stall: vermicelli noodle rolls, tea-smoked duck, chilli and coriander prawn robata – there was certainly no shortage of flavour right until the final bite where guests were treated to artisanal éclairs, ranging from confit orange to lime and coconut.
Big and bold flavours had to be met with big and bold styling; barmen in green shirts, canapé trays designed to ooze vibrancy; and the food stall, covered in white orchids and jungle foliage. Finally, there was plenty to sip while enjoying the warm summer evening from magnums of rosé to lychee Martinis.
