We're delighted to announce that on 4th January the RAF Museum has formally took possession of Hangar 1 and our London's site's landscape from contractors SDC. Roughly 1,000 tradesmen and designers have worked together to bring our concepts for London's transformation to this point and we thank them all for the quality of their work and dedication to the task.

Developing our London site into a world-class Museum will connect a global audience with the national celebrations and commemorations planned for the RAF Centenary throughout 2018.

New exhibitions exploring the first 100 years of the RAF and its future will sit at the heart of our re-landscaped site. An expanded, more diverse audience will enjoy a richer engagement with our site, collections and people-focused interpretation.

The transformation will revitalise the aviation heritage of the local Colindale area during significant redevelopment.
