Unique Venues of London has welcomed the Royal Institution of Great Britain, the independent charity dedicated to connecting people with the world of science, as their newest member, bringing the total number of venues within the association to 85.

Located in the heart of Mayfair, the Grade I listed property combines Georgian architecture with contemporary interiors, offering a unique and flexible backdrop for an event. The venue boasts 10 flexible and diverse spaces, suitable for all types of events from weddings and Christmas celebrations to conferences and meetings.

At the heart of the Royal Institution of Great Britain, the Theatre accommodates up to 400 people and is the building’s largest space. Home to the annual CHRISTMAS LECTURES®, the famous and iconic amphitheatre has played host to internationally renowned scientists, artists, authors, thinkers and politicians, providing the setting for many ground breaking scientific announcements for over 200 years.

The beautiful book-lined Library houses 20,000 books and is ideal for board meetings, presentations, training sessions, launches, drinks receptions, buffet lunches and formal dinners.

Commenting on the appointment, Claire Gardner, Director of Operations at the Royal Institution of Great Britain said: “We are thrilled to join such a prestigious organisation and are very much looking forward to working closely with the collection. Like the other member venues we have a rich heritage and a strong connection with the capital and we are excited to develop and play our own unique part within the association.”

Lisa Hatswell, Managing Director at Unique Venues of London, adds: “With its remarkable heritage, graceful Georgian architecture, stunning interiors and central London location, the Royal Institution of Great Britain is the perfect addition to our consortium. We are delighted to welcome this historic venue which has hosted some of the world’s most important thinkers. Our newest member demonstrates our continued commitment to promoting our capital’s diverse, unique and historic landmarks.”
