RSA House opens new free creative meeting space

Tuesday, November 26, 2019 - 16:00

Situated on two floors of RSA House (The Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce), Rawthmells is the new, free creative meeting space located at 7-9 Adam Street WC1. Open to those requiring a central London ad-hoc meeting space, it comfortably seats up to 12 people in one area or 75 people in the largest room. The space allows for plenty of privacy with impeccable food and drinks, without the club membership requirements*.

Rawthmells is no Costa Coffee or public house. Divided into various areas it can house many meetings from 8.30am – with great breakfast options - to 9pm for cocktails and nibbles for those wishing to conduct a professional conversation without the hustle and bustle of nearby hostelries. RSA House is also open to collaborations with corporate buyers whereby they can take over the entire venue over several days as Mozilla did recently for Mozfest.

General manager Rupert Outram said ‘With eleven spaces at RSA House, we can host meetings with a number of break-out spaces for workshops and team-building using Rawthmells as a constant café where delegates can take breaks and eat and drink as they please rather than being constrained to eating at specific times. It makes for the ultimate flexible venue and is suited to contemporary working styles.’

With comfortable seating, plugs for laptops, free WiFi and iPads to order drinks and from the menu, Rawthmells provides a great workspace to discuss and create projects in a calm environment. The Collaboration room is available for prior booking for up to 12 people and the Steps – complete with large screen and auditorium - is available to run through presentations. The Library offers another option, filled with research books and ideas available for use on site.

Throughout the day, award-winning, in-house caterers CH&CO offer breakfast, lunch and dinner with a tasty, seasonally changing menu filled with British ingredients so time has no limit at Rawthmells, meetings can carry on until close at 9pm. Those with access requirements can call ahead to ensure of the best possible visit.

Originally, Rawthmells - an 18th Century Coffee House - was where the Society began; to create a better future by solving problems faced by people every day in a collaborative space.

*It is possible to apply to be a Fellow of RSA House.
