Event production partner, Blitz|GES, joined forces with the Science Museum last Thursday (27 April) to host the Blitz|GES Connection, a half-day forum showcasing the latest event technology developments set to take the live events market by storm this year.

Over 250 event professionals from companies such as Barclays, JP Morgan, B&Q, ITV and Ascential Events attended the free event, which was held in the museum’s IMAX Theatre.

The jam-packed afternoon featured some of the brightest minds in technology and live events, with experts from WIRED, Panasonic, Arcstream AV, Poken, N200|GES and RMG Networks guiding attendees through the new technology trends hitting today’s live events market. These included virtual reality, motion mapping, SMART events, digital disruptors and artificial intelligence.

In addition to the seminars, attendees were able to enjoy interactive, hands-on demonstrations of new technologies from event partners in the museum’s Welcome Wing, plus a panel session with N200|GES, Poken, Gleanin and Reed Business Information Events.

Graham Pope, Group Commercial Director, Blitz|GES said: “The Blitz|GES Connection 2017 has been a huge success. It’s an amazing opportunity for forward-thinking event professionals to network, learn and engage with new technologies. The Science Museum provided a unique and inspiring backdrop for the event.”

Jodie Guilford, Event Sales Manager, said: “It was fantastic to host the Blitz|GES Connection at the Science Museum and to see attendees so engaged with the content on the day. The IMAX is the perfect space for this type of event with its state-of-the-art surround sound system and one of the world’s most sophisticated projectors, which ensured the event delivered maximum impact.”
