A sense of the historical

Some of our members are inviting guests to take a step back in time for an evening of period glamour or regal revelry. As Hampton Court Palace celebrates with a Georgian Christmas (marking the dynasty’s 300th anniversary), RIBA will be transporting guests back to prohibition era America for an evening of speakeasies, mobsters and molls.

Churchill War Rooms: Start the festive season with a memorable event at the celebrated, and once secret, underground government headquarters in London. This historic site boasts four exclusive event spaces, the finest cuisine, and encapsulates 1940s style and glamour.

Fulham Palace: Fulham Palace is a one-of-a-kind historic London events venue situated on a beautiful riverside location.  For a Christmas party, every one of its stunning event spaces becomes exclusive for the evening. This includes the Private Gardens, Courtyard, Chaplain’s Pavilion, Great Hall and Bishop Terrick’s Rooms.  Roaring fire, candlelit pathways, huge Christmas tree and wonderful decorations set the perfect scene for a palace party!

Hampton Court Palace: Hampton Court Palace invite guests to a  ‘Celebration of Crowns’ and regal decadence in the Garden Room at Hampton Court Palace. Marking the 300 year anniversary of George I’s accession to the British throne the Garden Room will be themed lavishly in royal purple with hints of gold.

Lords: Lord’s Cricket Ground presents a unique opportunity to hold a Christmas event in the most historic and famous venue in world Cricket. For the 2014 festive season, the Thomas Lord Suite will be offering a trio of different entertainment packages, from Swing and ABBA to a medley of both. Impress guests with an exciting venue, exceptional food and first class service, for an evening certain to exceed their expectations.

LSO St. Lukes: Christmas at LSO St. Lukes will be subtly styled, drawing on the venue’s natural historical appeal. Conveniently located on Old Street, LSO St Luke’s is a stunning building in which commanding 18th-century architecture meets sensitive contemporary restoration.

RIBA: The ‘All that Jazz’ Christmas package at RIBA Venues depicts the prohibition era of the 1920s and 30s with feathers and pearls, martini glasses and jazz background music.

Trinity House: Trinity House, the elegant working home of the General Lighthouse Authority overlooking the historic Tower of London, is offering a festive food and entertainment in the surroundings of their beautiful Georgian building.
