Unique Christmas entertainment at Sternberg Clarke

Thursday, October 18, 2018 - 10:00

Yes, it's that time of year again. When all of our attention moves from the falling leaves of Autumn to the arrival of Santa on the horizon. That's right, it's almost Christmas party season.

Nothing quite beats the sleek finesse of one of our choral ensembles or the rousing nature of a traditional brass quintet to add a bit of sophistication and formality to your Christmas party. There is always room for the conventional festive entertainment but what if you would like something unconventional as well?

This article seeks to show you just how many different types of holiday entertainment are available for your celebration and some are delightfully quirky! Feel free to have a look at these ten acts and if something catches your eye then please don't hesitate to get in touch.

And remember: If there is something Christmassy that you are after that you haven't seen in this article, then we are probably able to create it for you from scratch. Now that's what we call Christmas cheer!

Carol Singers

“Ding dong merrily on high…” Yes, it’s almost that time of year when the Christmas songs are a constant in the shops and the carol singers walk up to your door. A traditional Christmas treat, carol singers can provide a wonderful wintery welcome to guests as they arrive at your party or can provide background entertainment throughout your event.

Father Christmas

We all know that Father Christmas is very busy in December but why not try and convince him to take time out of his busy schedule to appear at your festive soirée? A perfect meet-and-greet act, he can also hand out presents to guests if required and is more than happy to pose for a photo or two to help spread the Christmas cheer.

The Nutcracker

Is there anything more Christmassy than a ballet? Of course; a Christmas performance of The Nutcracker! Tchaikovsky’s classic is brought to life by our wonderful ballerinas and since it’s set on Christmas Eve, we guarantee it will entertain every single guest in the room! A truly festive treat for all.

Christmas DJ

From the classics of Slade and Mariah Carey to lesser known but much-loved hits from Jona Lewie and Darlene Love, our Christmas DJs are skilled in the art of reading a dance floor and picking which Christmas classic you want to hear next. We are convinced that you’ll soon be singing along to the tunes!

Bjorn the Polar Bear

Bjorn the Polar Bear has become a firm festive favourite and moves into a conventional slot this year due to his huge popularity! Provided with a handler who can dispense various facts about Polar Bears and their habitat, Bjorn is an animatronic marvel and is guaranteed to draw a crowd from young and old alike.

Aerial Ice Dance

Alissa has the perfect act for Christmas parties. Not only will she wow you with her circus skills on the trapeze but she can also provide Aerial on Ice, a unique performance that sees her literally dancing on ice throughout the routine. Bringing a circle of ice to each event, hers is an act that has to be seen to be believed!

Eric the Explorer

Eric the Explorer is a unique walkabout act that will have guests in fits of laughter. When he isn’t pushing his sleigh around the venue, he’s parking it and asking for directions to the North Pole. Very silly but very funny, we highly recommend enquiring about this very different strolling act for your Christmas party.

Snow Sphere

A giant mobile snow globe that manoeuvres magically around your venue, adults and children alike are absolutely enchanted by the Snow Sphere. The Snow Queen sits from within providing all manner of photo opportunities, whilst a quick press of a red button from guests envelops the Queen in snow. Superb and able to be performed both inside and out!

Christmas Light Acrobats

Our talented circus acrobats can perform a choreographed festive routine or as background entertainment, delighting event attendees with their bespoke LED batons. Snowflakes, snowmen and Christmas trees are just a few of the symbols that can be seen, whilst there is an opportunity for a logo to be shown as well. Delightful decoration for any Christmas event.

Living Christmas Trees

A meet-and-greet act that has provided numerous laughs over the years, the Living Christmas Trees can be hired to sit anywhere in your venue surprising guests as they burst to life! From the photo it’s clear to see just how much some people can jump and we are highly doubtful that anybody will be expecting the trees to move. Hilarious and great fun.
