Velvet Living partner National Gallery and V&A Summer Soirée showcases

The summer - as always - provided a whirlwind of activity across the Velvet Group’s UK, French and Spanish branches. While focusing on the busy London summer events season, the Velvet Living team still found time to partner with two prestigious UVL venues with corporate showcase events.

June 12th – 2019 - Velvet Living has been working as a supplier to The National Gallery for three years and were delighted to be able to extend their contract until 2022 with the venue earlier this year.

With a view to showcasing the numerous event spaces and resplendent character of the venue, the National Gallery events team brought together a small number of trusted suppliers, including Velvet Living, to add those important finishing touches to the Central Hall, Barry Rooms and adjoining gallery areas. A select guest list of members and blue-chip companies were invited to enjoy fine food and drink from the consummate quality of By Word of Mouth. Velvet Living came to the table with a wonderful combination of classic and modern cross-over furniture options as well a beautiful stained wood bar with copper detailing and mirrored food stations – the perfect match for the National Galleries grandiose and regal interior.

July 15th – 2019 - With its sister branch, Velvet Entertainment, providing live entertainment services to the venue and its clients for over three years, Velvet Living was flattered to be able to join forces with the Victoria and Albert Museum and some industry stalwarts to deliver a stellar summer concept within the beautiful John Madjeski Garden.

With a tip of the cap to the current sell-out ‘Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams’ exhibition, Velvet Living helped transform the space with pop-up bars, food stations and summery lounge areas to whisk guests away - in spirit! - to the south of France for a stolen vacation. Those in attendance were able to wander through Provencal markets, sip beach-side drinks and were brought a touch of Dior opulence with guests welcomed to enjoy champagne at Velvet Living and Urban Caprice’s centre-piece gold bar which was draped and cascading with beautiful floral arrangements from Pinstripe & Peonies.
