White Light Voted in for Women’s Equality Party at Central Hall Westminster

Following its appointment as Production Service Partner at Central Hall Westminster last year, WL has provided the production support on a series of prolific events. From the Meet the Future conference to the U.N. Day celebrations, the complete production solution specialist has frequently drawn on its state-of-the-art technology and team of experts to ensure that every occasion taking place within the venue achieves its potential. The company recently provided its support on the launch of the Women’s Equality Party, whose guests included Jo Brand, Tanya Moodie and Caitlin Moran.

Organised as part of the 5x15 series, the Women’s Equality Party launch took place on 14th January within the Great Hall space at Central Hall Westminster, central London’s largest conference and events venue. Catherine Riley, Head of Communications for the Women’s Equality Party, comments: “This was a hugely significant evening for the party and provided us with a great opportunity to layout our objectives and plans for the upcoming elections. The Women’s Equality Party has six key policy goals: equal pay, parenting, education, opportunity in business and politics, equality in the media and an end to violence against women”.

Renowned journalist Caitlin Moran also spoke at the fundraiser. She comments: “[With the Women’s Equality Party], we have the ability to do something remarkable and extraordinary together. This party can make that happen”.

With the evening being such a prolific event, it required dependable production support. Jonjo Glynn, Central Hall Westminster’s Venue Director, comments: “As Production Service Partner, it’s our role to take full responsibility for the production support on any event that takes place at Central Hall. That way, the client can focus fully on the event, completely assured that the technical side is being looked after”.

For this particular event, WL drew on its ever-growing audio inventory. This included the EM Acoustics HALO System along with several microphones and an audio-visual technician. Jonjo comments: “With Europe’s largest-domed roof, it’s important to control the acoustics within the Great Hall – particularly with an event like this which included direct audience address. Fortunately, the HALO System we had in place ensured that the event had the exact audio support it required”.

Sophie Walker, the Women’s Equality Party Leader, comments: “It was a tremendous night, and we were thrilled to see so many people in attendance”.

The Women’s Equality Party is just one of many events that has utilised the production support of WL at Central Hall Westminster. Jonjo adds: “Over the next few months, we plan to upgrade all of the main spaces in Central Hall with the very latest in lighting, audio and video equipment. We want to ensure that the most state-of-the-art technology is fully installed and there to be utilised within one of London’s oldest and most renowned spaces. Whether it is an evening such as the Women’s Equality Party launch, an awards ceremony, a concert or even an exhibition, we want the equipment and support we provide to be the best available in London, making Central Hall Westminster the ideal location for any occasion”.
