With summer shining down on us, wedding season is in full swing. DeltaLive have worked on several really beautiful occasions so far this year and we are excited to share a few special moments from two of these recent weddings. Both took place in the beautiful, floral setting of Kew Gardens, an idyllic location for a special occasion. DeltaLive know and understand how to perfect each celebration, all while keeping in mind aspects like budget and working within the venue’s criteria.
For the first wedding, of J&M, the brief was to provide a relaxed feel that enhanced the already picturesque setting. Soft, tungsten uplighters placed around the Orangery at Kew enhanced the architectural features of the room. While festoon lights were selected to be strung across the dancefloor.
This is the first time that festoon lighting had been chosen inside the Orangery. We created a bespoke solution which received excellent feedback from the client and the venue. This traditional lighting really brings the outside in, especially appropriate for Kew Gardens. The Festoon lights had the added benefit of creating a sense of intimacy on the dancefloor while bringing a Mediterranean feel to the space. DeltaLive also provided the staging for the DJ.
The second wedding, of S&N, was an elaborate affair. A tropical, exotic theme was enhanced by gobo lighting with palm silhouettes, which added to the already beautiful floral displays. DeltaLive supplied a bespoke, circular, mirror bar to enclose the feature tree from Twilight Trees. It was, and always is, really important, that each element of the design is in harmony with each other. We always work to create a fully considered space, enriching the design while also keeping the venue and setting in mind.
DeltaLive also supplied all of the audio for this wedding, providing 4 x L-Acoustics X12’s with 2 x SB15 subs. Kew Gardens have particular noise restrictions and we have worked with the venue to create a bespoke solution that not only enhances the atmosphere on the dancefloor, but keeps the sound contained within the space allowing all the guests to hear the speeches clearly. DeltaLive provided a tailored soundscape for each space: the Orangery is a listed building with single pane glass, creating an even bigger challenge when it comes to shaping the sound and working within the venue’s sound and noise parameters.
We understand that there’s a lot of preparation that goes into making a wedding unique and special. DeltaLive specialise in the production element of weddings. We know sound, we know lighting, bars, dancefloors and we pay attention to the tiny details that we don’t want to be forgotten. Your palette is importance, which is why we stock white PA, which blends into the room, enhancing, rather than detracting from your design. We know that timings in venues are tight and we work around these, ensuring that the Bride, Groom and friends and family share in a special and memorable occasion.
