London is a unique place to be during the summer months. The city comes to life with music festivals, outdoor performances, artisan food markets and many other types of events which encourage residents and tourists alike to enjoy the great outdoors.
As the sun shines on the capital (or not), our members’ thoughts turn to the many opportunities available to celebrate the season.
From al fresco drinks receptions to sizzling summer barbecues, we look at a handful of sensational booking options which make the most of the warmer weather:
Where better to watch the sun go down with a glass of bubbles in hand than from the stunning exclusive roof terrace at No.4 Hamilton Place, which is available for hire when paired with their Argyll Room, a combination that creates an idyllic setting for a summer event.
As the weather begins to (finally!) pick up, No.4 Hamilton Place is thriving with summer parties and outdoor evening receptions. Guests can enjoy the lovely sunshine or hazy summer evenings from the roof terrace whilst delicious creations by the chefs at Blue Strawberry sizzle away on a BBQ.
This lovely and versatile outdoor roof terrace is unique as it is one of few outdoor spaces located in central London, and one to beat as it boasts unparalleled views across Hyde Park. Add a little extra to your event by hiring a marquee decorated with festoon lighting for guests to take shade under, or perhaps a roaming acoustic band to liven up the atmosphere.

This summer, The National Gallery is offering a 25% venue hire discount for August bookings; to get people ready for the warm weather, the Gallery's expert Events Team has a few ideas to help its visitors host a fabulous summer party that will certainly impress their guests.
With The National Gallery flanking one side of iconic Trafalgar Square, which draws around 15 million people each year, the perfect place to throw a party is the elevated Portico Terrace. It offers the ideal viewing platform for guests to marvel at Nelson’s Column, the sparkling fountains, the famous four lion sculptures, and Westminster and beyond.
A grand entrance is also essential for any gathering, and the Portico Entrance is quite the show-stopper, thanks to its columns that once stood on the entrance of the original Carlton House, home to the Prince Regent George IV.
The 12 harlequin sprung floored studios are inspiring, and very versatile spaces, providing a light, bright and modern setting.
The large floor-to-ceiling windows allow natural daylight to flood in during the day, throwing the pastel pink, blue and green colours of the building’s outer skin into the light, airy spaces.
At night, the reverse happens, as the interior electric light from the studios illuminates the building, projecting colour out into the surrounding area and making movement within the studios visible from the outside.
Get 10% off on the booking total when you book with Laban Building from week commencing 5th August to 31st August.
