Harrow School

The Alex Fitch Room is one of the most majestic at Harrow School and can seat up to 20 guests in a very special and historic venue.

Located in the War Memorial Building, the entire contents of the room are older than the building itself – panelling from the Elizabethan period clads the walls and the fireplace dates from the reign of Henry V.  The floor is made of decking from H.M.S. Vincent, the battleship which served during the reign of George III, and the furniture to the exterior of the room is from the reign of James I, along with the dining table guests will dine at.

This beautiful room was donated by the Fitch family in memory of their 19-year-old son Alex, an Old Harrovian, who died in World War 1, and his portrait hangs above the 600-year-old fireplace with the light above never being put out in respect for the fallen.  All proceeds from the hire of this room go towards a Bursary for a boy to attend Harrow School.

Lincoln’s Inn

“LONDON. Michaelmas Term lately over, and the Lord Chancellor sitting in Lincoln’s Inn Hall……Fog everywhere”

Fans of classic literature may be aware, the “hall” featured in Charles Dickens’ Bleak House (1852) was the Old Hall, which hosted the Lord Chancellor’s Court from 1733 until the Royal Courts of Justice opened in 1882.

The Inn’s oldest surviving building, built around 1490, was traditionally used by our members for eating, drinking, debating and ‘holding their revels’. It was here that Sir Thomas More, who joined the Inn in 1496, spent much of his professional life. The hall’s most notable visit was by Charles II in 1672. Recorded in the Inn’s ‘Golden Book’, the King dined in the Old Hall, along with his brother James, Duke of York, and numerous other noblemen.

The Old Hall has undergone various remodelling and additions since 1490. Perfectly preserved, it now offers an intimate event space with appealing Tudor grandeur. Available for daytime conferences and lunches as well as evening seminars, receptions and dining, experience the Inn’s first-class service and delectable in-house catering in this unique Grade I listed building.

Contact events@lincolnsinn.org.uk for further details on hosting a dinner at Lincoln’s Inn.

In the newly launched Future Engineers gallery guests can test their skills in the popular Elizabeth Line driving experience, with entry to the award winning “Hidden London: the Exhibition”.

Choose from one of our 5 carefully selected caterers to create a bespoke menu for up to 150 seated dinner guests. Work in conjunction with our approved suppliers across AV, lighting and entertainment.

Royal College of Physicians

The Royal College of Physicians (RCP) is over 500 years old and currently in its fifth home since 1965, a stunning grade I listed modernist building.

This truly unique venue offers a variety of versatile dining spaces, with contrasting traditional and contemporary styles to suit all tastes.

If you are looking for something unique and special, the Censors’ Room is steeped in history. It is the oldest room at the venue, with original Spanish oak panelling dating back to 1674.

It originally served as the place where aspiring physicians would be examined. Today it is a wonderful space for a butler serviced fine dining event or private reception catering for up to 25 people.

Located on the second floor of the building, the Osler and Long rooms feature an impressive double volume height ceiling and full walls of windows overlooking the RCP’s Medicinal Garden.

Curtains with a soft shimmer border reflect light on to a large hydraulic wall painted in subtle gold, and a reflective wall covering bounces light into the space reducing the need for excessive lighting and creating understated elegance.

These rooms are the ideal location for banquets and receptions, catering for up to 300 people (long tables) and 400 people (standing reception).
