Unique Venues of London (UVL) joins The Business Visits & Events Partnership (BVEP) and its expert partners in order to support and collaborate with the wider industry through these exceptional challenging times and strengthen the overall collective voice.
BVEP is an umbrella organisation representing leading trade and professional organisations, government agencies and other significant influencers in the business visits and events sector.
UVL as a marketing association of over 80 venues within culturally significant buildings and landmarks, all located across Greater London, has for over 27 years been at the forefront of London’s venue scene, helping to unlock exceptional spaces in iconic heritage and contemporary locations. In just the last five years its member venues have generated over £500 million from events providing much needed revenue for the museums, galleries, historic houses, attractions, colleges, and institutions in which they are housed.
Lisa Hatswell, Managing Director of Unique Venues, voices the associations concerns over the need to reopen its sector - ‘The gargantuan loss this pandemic has provided to these beloved buildings and institutions, partnered with the cataphoretic affect it has had on the extensive network of event suppliers from caterers, florists, entertainers to production and design experts, who support the venues to produce world renounced events each year – it is vital that our voice joins those of BVEP and its partners to demonstrate the need for urgent support and understanding from the government that our sector so desperately needs during these exceptional times.’
