IWM London (Imperial War Museum)

Located close to the Southbank, IWM London is a stunning Grade II listed building that was formerly the Royal Bethlem Hospital.

IWM London has been transformed. Designed by Foster + Partners, a spectacular new Atrium forms the heart of the museum and a breath-taking hanging gallery in the rooftop provides dramatic views of the floors beneath. Along with the remodelled daytime meeting and conference rooms, IWM London provides the perfect showcase for events big and small, traditional and low-key or high profile and inspirational.

The main Atrium - a stunning 25m-high space - benefits from great flexibility. Accommodating up to 350 for dinners and receptions up to 400, the backdrop of large exhibits on display, including a rare Battle of Britain Spitfire; a Harrier jet used in Afghanistan and a German V2 rocket, really give this space the wow factor. The Atrium, together with the galleries in the entire museum, can cater for receptions for over 1000 guests.

IWM London is the flagship venue for Imperial War Museums (IWM). It is the perfect venue for event organisers of strong brands, exciting innovators and forward-thinking organisations. From breakfasts, receptions, seated dinners, meetings and lunches to presentations and private celebrations, IWM London delivers wide range of successful events that will leave your guests with a lasting impression of their experience here.

Located in Central London close to the City, Westminster and Southbank, IWM London’s famous façade is a stunning Grade II listed building formally home to the “Bedlam” hospital. The venue has excellent transport links being just a 10 minute walk from Waterloo and 5 minutes from Lambeth North tube station.

Autumn Winter 2018 Packages

To celebrate the centenary year of the end of the First World War we have created two fantastic packages for events between 21st September 2018 and 30th November 2018.

To enhance your conference or meeting this Autumn, help us remember those who fought and offer your guests the chance to wander through the First World War galleries, where the stories and experiences of those that lived through the war are told.

You and your delegates can then return to your designated meeting room and enjoy a traditional British Afternoon Tea. Your guests will be welcomed with platters full of finger sandwiches and tea stands filled to the brim with sweet treats.

Enjoy our fantastic Autumn Day Delegate package for a limited time from just £61 per person (+VAT)

If an evening event is what you are looking for, as this year marks 100 years since the Great War ended why not mark the occasion and host a party against a backdrop of 100 years of history?

Dance the night away with family, friends, and colleagues beneath a canopy of First and Second World War aircraft whilst you dine on generous portions of classic British favourites. Guests can expect to feast on mini slow cooked Shepherd’s pies with Berkswell cheese followed by sweet treats such as lemon curd tart with lavender meringue. Your guests will feel as though they have truly stepped back in time, surrounded by dramatic objects from a collection spanning over a century.

Throw an iconic evening event, surrounded by 100 years of history from just £99 per person (+VAT) this Autumn.

Just to let you know a large proportion of the funds from your next event will be donated straight to IWM, this is as a contribution that allows the Museum to continue its growth and development. This means that the fascinating stories of those that lived through the conflict to continue to be told.

We hope to welcome you to IWM London very soon!
