We are an iconic artistic venue based on the bank of the Thames in SE1, operating a diverse and lively business that incorporates a busy Restaurant and Bar with high profile internal Events spaces at Shakespeare's Globe.
We are looking for a dynamic Head of Sales & Planning with a strong background in the industry to lead our Sales, Planning and Group Bookings teams.
Excellent communication skills, leadership, attention to detail and an outgoing personality are a must, as is flexibility and commitment to hard work.
Expectations will be to:
- Develop and oversee the delivery of an ambitious sales strategy to deliver targets in the region of £4 million per year, across events, group bookings and private dining
- Ensure the team manages and plans events with upmost care and attention to detail from the outset to beyond completion, consistently exceeding client expectations
- Create business development opportunities, including the launch of event and group booking packages
- Offer clear industry insights and market analysis to inform pricing strategy and product development
- Effectively manage business across the estate to maximise occupancy and develop group bookings/private dining in the Bar and Restaurant
- Ensure all events are profitable and income secured ahead of each event
- Represent the business externally at a senior level
- Build relationships with clients, suppliers and third parties, including the Globe Theatre.
