Sales Manager - 30 Euston Square

We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Sales Manager who will drive and lead the proactive outbound sales effort for 30 Euston Square.

You will be a highly competent sales professional who can roll their sleeves up and is passionate about the business’s growth, who understands the dynamics of a service business and the hospitality industry.

1. Main Focus of the Role

The main areas of focus will be:

Selling – A proven seller, you will lead and co-ordinate outbound venue sales activities, widening and deepening our client base and developing creative ways to sell and market the venue and company to prospective customers.

 Account management – You will be able to prioritise, grow and maintain key accounts, develop account relationships and spot opportunities for accounts that can deliver sales to the venue and company.

Collaboration – The successful candidate will work closely with our sister venues to maximise sales as well as building strong relationships with the central business development team. The successful candidate will know the market and be used to selling large, innovative space for conferences and events to corporate clients, have a personality that has its own ideas, an ability to communicate them.

2. Job Description

Sales Manager, reporting to Sales and Marketing Manager (SMM)

Based at 30 Euston Square.  This is a customer focused proactive role and will work closely with relevant departments to ensure smooth and effective service transition of new business to regular business.  Selling commercial venue space, accommodation and corporate membership to agreed budgets.

1. Overall Purpose

To generate and contribute sales which will achieve the 30 Euston Square Monthly, Quarterly and Annual budget, profitability targets and deadlines.

Responsible for client account development and to be proactive on the acquisition of new business opportunities for 30 Euston Square.

To maximise all revenue opportunities for both 30 Euston Square and Searcys.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Business Development

Research potential business target clients to identify buying influences, need for our services, use of competitors services’ and plan the sales approach and proactively target new business.

Explore existing clients to ensure the company has identified all opportunities for revenue generation from each account/client by building and maintaining positive relationships.

Follow-up sales leads, undertaking meetings on/off site. Presentations and competitor venue viewings.

Assisting in the preparation and presentation of proposals and quotations for new business.

 To develop an excellent knowledge of the local market and implement a local prospecting plan to develop new business.

To maintain good relationships with other key venue finding agencies to increase the conversion level and revenue from this source.

To assist with and participate in corporate hospitality and promotional activity where required, both internally and externally.


To participate in sales forecasting, planning, researching and goal setting for the venue.

To contribute to the venue business planning process working with the Sales & Marketing Manager.

To have an understanding of the venue sales targets and to work towards all sales strategies.

To support team members in dealing with enquiries as and when required.

To become familiar with and maintain the Delphi system, in order to keep an up to date database for marketing and promotional activities.

To ensure adherence with the company’s sales process and guidelines.

To be involved with cross-venue or corporate sales projects as required.

To report on activities at venue sales meetings as required.


To assist with the preparation of statistical data, information and other management reporting relating to sales.

To adhere to the company credit control guidelines.

To be aware of the company’s purchasing policies and guidelines.

To achieve targeted KPIs as agreed by the SMM.

Other responsibilities

To develop good working relationships with all other members of the venues and central departments.

To lead, develop and build confidence with other team members, colleagues and partners.

To ensure all statutory health and safety and fire regulations are under taking as requested by 30 Euston Square, Royal College of General Practitioners and Searcys.

To undertake reasonable requests for adhoc duties as requested by the Sales & Marketing Manager or General Manager.
