Venue Sales Support - Graysons Venues

Salary: £26-£28k depending on experience

Sales support Manager for Grayson’s Venues this role would be a mobile position focussing on networking and exhibiting under the umbrella of Graysons Venues. The candidate will have previous experience in sales for venues and focussed on networking, building relationships. They will preferably have operational experience and have a proven track record of maintaining client relationships. The role is self-motivating with a creative side to implement new programs for marketing and selling the group.   A team player who is looking to expand their knowledge and experience through working with sales team to improve individual targets.

SCOPE OF JOB:

Maximising new business development and sales opportunities through Graysons Venues, to increase the revenue, reputation and exposure for the venues.

RESPONSIBLE TO:        

Venues Social Media & Marketing Manager

RESPONSIBLE FOR:

  1. Operational Excellence / Client Satisfaction
  • With venue sales teams, Review and monitor the sales and marketing finances, including the budget and sales profit and loss, through strategic planning, implementation and development, forecasts, analysis and communication within the company.
  • review site specific sales targets and plans in line with budgets and forecasts
  • Analysing packages and menus per venue to enable more customised and market enticing offers
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with new and current clients, agents as a group
  • Identify and report on new business opportunities through monitoring and anticipating market trends, developing sales markets, introducing new initiatives and implementing proactive selling opportunities
  • Be a key promoter and communicator to grow relationships both internally and externally. To include the client, colleagues, and external networking events and exhibition and trade attendance
  • Analysing and creating venue specific customer journeys implementing key structures and sales techniques
  • Consistently benchmark all venues against competitors, market research, agents, and suppliers, recommending tactical opportunities to increase revenue, build relationships and remain competitive
  • Measuring success through end of month agent, sales lead and marketing analysis reporting
  • Incentivising sales managers by leading and supporting sales managers to achieve both commercially and as a team.
  • Supporting venues on key dates where operational delivery is required
  • In conjunction with Social Media and Marketing Manager, maintain client relationships per venue by attending quarterly meeting and updating venue specific sales reports
  • Work with social media and marketing manager to build the exposure of Graysons Venues within the sales market, focussing on market analysis, awards, implementing new ideas and building the exposure of the brand
  • Undertake other duties reasonably allocated by the Sales, Marketing, General Managers or by Senior Management

2. Hygiene, Health and Safety

  • Ensure compliance with all legislation e.g. HASSAW, Food Safety Act
  • Ensure that all company policy documents are available for clients
  • Ensure that the colleagues use safe methods of work
  • Ensure your work station is suitable for purpose for you.
  • Ensure all areas of work are maintained to a safe and hygienic standard
  • Ensure any maintenance concerns are reported to the General Manager immediately

3. Customer Service

  • To smile and adopt a welcoming attitude to all customers
  • Acknowledge and treat all customers and clients in a polite and professional manner
  • Implement service standards and etiquette for sales team
  • Address all comments in a positive manner
  • Ensure an efficient and timely service
  • Ensure discretion at all times
  • Create a sense of urgency for each service
  • Communicate client/customer feedback to the General Manager

4. Team Effectiveness

  • To be an active member of the catering sales team supporting colleagues in the delivery of the overall contract
  • To actively set targets for fellow sales team members and encourage and assist their success
  • To ensure you work to the defined standards of Graysons and the client, asking for guidance and clarification as necessary
  • Attend all statutory and departmental training
  • To service the business needs of customers, specifically, fellow team members
  • Build professional working relationships with senior managers and provide help and guidance in all matters relating to products and costs
  • Participate in weekly meetings and ensure action required is taken in the required timescale.
  • To promote good employee relations and minimise labour turnover
  • Adhere to all Company and contract rules and regulations
  • Read and take in all Company correspondence passed to you
  • Be courteous and helpful to colleagues at all times
  • Communicate effectively with all colleagues, demonstrating a positive and enthusiastic approach

5. Honesty

  • Act in a professional manner at all times having the companies best interests at heart
  • Pass on any information to my line manager that I believe may be detrimental to Graysons Restaurants
  • Keep all company matters and financial information confidential
  • Keep all company materials and information confidential
  • Treat all company and client property with care and respect
  • Promote Graysons Restaurants and maintain a positive company image

6. Financial Performance

  • Strive to meet monthly and yearly sales targets whilst exceeding KPI
  • To ensure all quotes are profitable and meet yield management calendar
  • To ensure that correct attendance recording procedures are carried out by all Departmental staff.
  • To control Overhead Costs or pass on financial costs to appropriate avenues
