What lies beneath the grand and traditional event spaces of RSA house lies a rather extraordinary space like no other. The subterranean Vaults boast four interconnecting event spaces featuring exposed 18th Century brickwork throughout.
This iconic London venue hire suits just about any event, playing host to product launches, parties, fashion shows, press days, exhibitions, TV & film shoots and weddings and has welcomed many well-known brands including Molton Brown, Yves Saint Laurent and Penguin Books.
The Vaults are hired exclusively with their own private entrance leading directly from the Strand, a private cloakroom and bathrooms. It is an ideal location for a self-contained event, separate from the rest of the House. The space can be transformed to suit whatever the occasion or left alone can provide enough of a ‘wow’ factor if there is no theme.
Did you know?
- The Vaults were originally designed as warehouse storage and used to lead directly onto the Thames
- For years the Vaults were used as wine cellars by Sichel & Sons. Wine was brought up the river in casks and bottled in adjoining cellars before being laid down in the Vaults
- Before the Vault’s wine days, it was home to many cattle and livestock
- RSA House is made up of five original properties and still has many of its original features. Part of the building was designed by the renowned architect brothers Robert and John Adam in 1774.
