Launch of the Royal College of Music Museum

Wednesday, October 13, 2021 - 09:45

This October saw the launch of the Royal College of Music (RCM) Museum, which features specially selected items from the RCM’s collection of over 15,000 objects that represent music-making over a period of more than five centuries.

Following a multi-million-pound upgrade and relocation as part of the RCM More Music building development, the RCM Museum is now open and can be booked for exclusive events, including performances, drinks receptions and intimate dinners. Tours by the expert team are also available for a truly unique experience.

The RCM Museum features a vast range of intriguing instruments, portraits, engravings, sculptures, and photographs, which are guaranteed to captivate guests. Highlights include the earliest known guitar, the earliest string keyboard instrument, and the most recognised portraits of Joseph Haydn and Farinelli.

For more information on the RCM Museum, or to book this new space for a corporate or private event, contact the team by emailing venuehire@rcm.ac.uk
