A very important date in By Word of Mouth’s calendar in 2021 was a client’s party at the Victoria & Albert Museum, themed to tie in with the sensational exhibition, ‘Alice: Curiouser and Curiouser’.

An iconic subject matter, with a brief to create an unforgettable party atmosphere, required a bold approach with fun, quirky and highly impactful elements injected into the presentation, menu and styling.
Canapes were offered in the Hintze Gallery on specially created presentation trays that included woodland toadstools, giant clocks, mossed flower banks and outsized clam shells sitting on a mirrored sea. Including our No Waste Burger canape, supporting the charity City Harvest London, was a thoughtful touch and it was served alongside Japanese fire salt prawns, truffled mushroom & taleggio bruschetta, buttermilk chicken and Korean beef bulgogi.
The party then moved into the V&A’s stunning Dome where freshly shaken cocktails were offered from a jaw-dropping Drink Me bar and a Game of Chess had black and white puddings facing off, overlooked by giant chess pieces, stacked on specially made, tiered plinths at either end of the bar.

Taster plates, offered from green lawns, chequer boards and decorative playing cards, completed the menu for an unforgettable evening that allowed the BWoM team to bring all its imagination and creativity to create a party that was one of the highlights of the year.
