Unique Venues of London, the membership organisation for specialist properties in the capital, has announced its newest member: Science Gallery London.
The association’s membership criteria include the venue being located within the M25 and demonstration of the venue’s singularity. Furthermore, the primary purpose of a potential member must not be hospitality, corporate hospitality, entertaining, catering events, meetings or conferences.
Science Gallery London’s membership was voted on by existing members after a series of visits to the venue by the Unique Venues of London new members group and a final presentation.
The recently-opened free-to-visit space in London Bridge is part of King’s College London and connects art, science and health to drive innovation in the heart of the city. Its programme brings together academic researchers, students, local communities and artists via themed exhibitions, events, performances, live experiments, open discussions and festivals; all with scientific engagement at their core.
Commenting on the new membership, Chelsey Kendall, Sales and Venue Manager at Science Gallery London, said: “We are thrilled to be part of such a prestigious association. This latest addition to Unique Venues of London brings the association’s member count to 88 venues, providing a plenitude of choice for organisers who are seeking more outside-the-box event locations.
To showcase its expanding membership, Unique Venues of London will be participating in Venues + Events Live on the 18th and 19th of September on stand G38. The renowned events industry show attracts hundreds of venues, suppliers and other related spaces every year for a variety of sessions and hands-on masterclasses.
