The British Library has a duty to preserve, store and make available content of all kinds in digital and physical formats. We make our intellectual heritage accessible to everyone, for research, inspiration and enjoyment. It is this prestigious duty that makes the British Library an iconic and memorable event location. 

Keeper of the world’s knowledge, with collections spanning 3000 years of cultural history, this A Grade I listed building offers an iconic destination for you and your guests. Events held at the library can showcase the collections through private exhibition visits, gallery tours and VIP views of collection items with specialist curators. Not just a library, this venue can host intimate events in our 4th Floor Executive Suite, dinners up to 150 in either the newly refurbished Terrace Restaurant (complete April 2017) or Entrance Hall. Our Outdoor Terrace combined with the Terrace Restaurant can host up to 400 for a reception - with an wetweather option of the Kings Gallery.  Further to this, our modern revamped Knowledge Centre offers a Theatre, seating 255, with 5 unique breakout rooms, all with the option of AV, catering and individual room set up.

With a personal Event Coordinator for your event, meeting, showcase or lecture - the British Library is an unforgettable venue experience.
