Chelsea Physic Garden

Chelsea Physic Garden offers a respite from the urban landscape without compare. Behind our walls lies a hidden sanctuary of over 5,000 rare and significant plants, an ongoing legacy cultivated across 350 years of horticultural science. From small roots as an apothecary's garden, we remain the only botanic garden worldwide devoted solely to growing medicinal, useful and edible plants.

From our historic Pond Rockery to the tropical plants lining our Victorian glasshouses, the medicinal garden and historic Dicotyledonous beds, Ginkgo trees, herbs, spices, carnivorous and poisonous plants, fruiting olives, palms and pomegranates, and the terraces and wild peripheries that enclose two spacious lawns—the Garden casts a truly beautiful backdrop to an event of any kind, and bestows a character unique amongst any other venue so close to the city centre.

Our location by Sloane Square, Victoria and Cadogan Pier grant easy transport connections around London and beyond, whilst our dry-hire, marquee license and exclusive hire opportunities allow for a wealth of both traditional and inventive event formats.
