Job Summary
We are hiring for a Sales Manager to undertake line management responsibility for the sales coordinator and sell Wellcome Collection for external venue hire to new business to achieve financial targets.

Circa £37k

In this role you'll be:
- Selling and promoting Wellcome Collection for successful events by:
- Understanding the booking system Kinetix and using it effectively to generate reports and monitor enquiry levels and trends.
- Maintaining and growing a client database for event management, identifying new target growth markets
- Delivering a targeted e-marketing system to promote the event spaces
- Proactively seeking new business opportunities and following up on sales leads
- Representing the organisation at exhibitions, trade association events as appropriate
- Support and extend deeper engagement with Wellcome Collection’s content and broader aims
- Marketing of the venue through social media and events
- Line management of the sales team, conducting performance reviews and other processes as necessary
Background / Experience:
Essential
- Extensive sales experience in a conference and events venue
- Management experience
- Exhibition and networking skills
- Proven experience of delivering proactive sales
- Knowledge of an event management system

- Sales experience within a cultural venue
- Knowledge of Kinetics
- Experience of working in London conference and events
