Job Summary

We are hiring for a Sales Manager to undertake line management responsibility for the sales coordinator and sell Wellcome Collection for external venue hire to new business to achieve financial targets.

Salary

Circa £37k

In this role you'll be:

  • Selling and promoting Wellcome Collection for successful events by:
  • Understanding the booking system Kinetix and using it effectively to generate reports and monitor enquiry levels and trends.
  • Maintaining and growing a client database for event management, identifying new target growth markets
  • Delivering a targeted e-marketing system to promote the event spaces
  • Proactively seeking new business opportunities and following up on sales leads
  • Representing the organisation at exhibitions, trade association events as appropriate
  • Support and extend deeper engagement with Wellcome Collection’s content and broader aims
  • Marketing of the venue through social media and events
  • Line management of the sales team, conducting performance reviews and other processes as necessary

Background / Experience:

Essential

  • Extensive sales experience in a conference and events venue
  • Management experience
  • Exhibition and networking skills
  • Proven experience of delivering proactive sales
  • Knowledge of an event management system



·Desirable

  • Sales experience within a cultural venue
  • Knowledge of Kinetics
  • Experience of working in London conference and events
