As always, the team at Sir John Soane’s Museum are doing their best to brighten up these cold, dark winter evenings, with a series of wonderful candlelit events. The 2026 Soane Lates are already underway, but do not despair if you missed out on the January Late, as the 27 February Soane Late: Spotlight on Soane is nearly here! The Museum is also looking forward to celebrating International Women’s Day on 8 March with a specially curated Twilight Tour. From his beloved wife, Eliza Soane, to the painter Maria Cosway, to Soane's friend and the first Inspectress of the Museum, Sally Conduitt, your expert guide will illuminate the influences of the many outstanding women that can be seen and felt throughout this unique house Museum. Finally, the Museum is looking forward to the arrival of the highly anticipated exhibition Vanbrugh: The Drama of Architecture on 4 March. This exhibition will introduce new audiences to the work of the English Baroque architect, adventurer, playwright and spy 300 years after his death.
