The Sainsbury Wing at the National Gallery is officially open. With glowing 5-star reviews already pouring in, the Gallery is the place to be. 

On the ground floor of the revamped main entrance, you’ll find Bar Giorgio, Giorgio’s signature maritozzi, both sweet and savoury, alongside expertly brewed coffee. It’s a warm and stylish seating area, is the perfect welcome to your visit or to pause before discovering the Wonder of Art. 

Up on the mezzanine, you’ll find Locatelli, the new restaurant from Michelin-starred chef Giorgio Locatelli. Open to drink and dine from 10:00 – 17:45 and 20:45 on Fridays. Locatelli brings elegant Italian dining to the heart of the Gallery. Dishes are seasonal, beautifully prepared ingredients are locally sourced. Since it’s opening on 10 May 2025, the Gallery has welcomed thousands of guests. Now, it’s your time with five revamped and new event spaces, The Sainsbury Wing is now available to hire for private events. The newly refreshed Wohl Room, the modern Pigott Theatre, light-filled Sainsbury Wing Foyer and tailored Whitcomb Meeting Room offer a range of stunning options for receptions, meetings and talks.
