Our Story with David Attenborough, at the Natural History Museum continues until 30 August 2026

Our Story with David Attenborough, the Natural History Museum’s first-ever immersive experience, is continuing its run until 30 August 2026.

Created in collaboration with the award-winning Open Planet Studios and Sir David himself, the 50-minute production combines scientifically accurate animation, enthralling real-world footage and full 360° immersion to tell the complex billion-year story of people and planet, guided by the world’s greatest storyteller. The experience is accompanied by an original score by Tony Award- and Olivier Award-nominated composer, Nick Powell.

On the opening of the experience at the Museum, Sir David said: “In this immersive experience, we explore two stories – the 4-billion-year epic of the Earth, and our own, relatively brief chapter, the story of humankind. These two stories are not, at this moment, aligned – but they could be. My hope is that anyone visiting the Our Story experience will come to understand how important humanity is in writing the planet’s next chapter.”

In addition, to mark his 100th birthday on Friday 8 May, the Museum and Open Planet Studios have collaborated with Outernet London to produce a special five-minute adaptation of the experience for The Now Building at Outernet, in the beating heart of London’s city centre.

Free for audiences, join Sir David as he documents the interwoven history of people and planet, before presenting a vision of London in our not-so-distance future where humanity and nature thrive together.

Our Story with David Attenborough, a free five-minute experience created for Outernet, will play until 31 May. For tickets to the full 50-minute experience at the Natural History Museum, visit www.nhm.ac.uk/visit/exhibitions/our-story-with-david-attenborough.
