On a very soggy Tuesday after the bank holiday weekend, Pinstripes & Peonies hosted a gardening volunteer day for their venues and fellow suppliers at Herbert Morrison Primary School in Nine Elms. 

With over two hundred plants returning from P&P installations at RHS Chelsea Flower Show the week before, volunteers from eight different venues, catering and production companies came to help weed beds and dig the plants into their forever homes. 

Pinstripes & Peonies have been sponsoring the school garden since January 2023, when it was previously so overgrown that some of the staff didn’t know the full scope of the space. They have lovingly relandscaped the grounds, providing gardeners every Tuesday throughout the year to ensure that no plants or outdoor props from events and weddings go to waste. 

Having already held successful volunteer days throughout the spring and summer for corporate companies via Volunteering Matters, P&P decided to hold one especially for venues and suppliers who were keen to support the project. 

With huge thanks to The Wallace Collection, Lettice Events, Wise Productions, Caper & Berry, Historic Royal Palaces, Blue Strawberry, Tate and AP&Co., who came rain, shine and everything in between to volunteer their time. There will be another opportunity to come and flex your green fingers later this summer, so watch this space for more news soon...
