Historic Royal Palaces looks after some of the most iconic sites in the UK today including Hampton Court, the Tower of London, Kensington Palace the Banqueting House, Kew Palace and Hillsborough Castle. We need a dedicated Events Executive to help maximise the commercial potential of Banqueting House, Whitehall.
The Banqueting House, designed by Inigo Jones with its spectacular Rubens' ceiling, is an iconic venue in the heart of Whitehall. Although it has had various uses throughout the ages, Banqueting House today plays host to some of the most spectacular events in the city as well as being a fascinating historic visitor attraction.
We are growing our team and are seeking an additional full time Events Executive based at The Banqueting House, Whitehall.
This role is about communication as much as organisation. You will guide your portfolio of internal and external clients and suppliers through every aspect of the event planning process. Whether you are focusing on sales, organisational detail, financial documents (or anything in between) your contact will always have accurate information and ultimate confidence in your ability to deliver their event at this magnificent palace.
You must be a self-starter and a quick learner with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Possessing the ability to work on your own initiative, you must be flexible and adaptable with an outgoing and engaging personality. Someone who can work well in a small team environment, you will also have excellent IT skills with knowledge of Microsoft packages and ideally Kinetix database.
You’ll be passionate and experienced in running quality events, have a natural flair for building and developing relationships with key stakeholders and be able to bring creative ideas to the table, helping the team deliver successful innovative events.
Educated to A-level standard (or equivalent), you will have proven experience of running events on a sales and operational level. In-depth knowledge of the London events industry is essential and an insight into British history will stand you in good stead.
Finally, you must be prepared to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
