Situated just two minutes’ walk from Liverpool Street Station, our historic and atmospheric spaces are available for a range of private and corporate events.

Weddings and Celebrations

With spaces ranging from our historic Great Hall to our warm and welcoming Library, Bishopsgate Institute can host all celebrations from intimate drinks receptions to wedding celebrations of up to 400 guests. Your Event Planner is there to support you from your first enquiry, helping you create the perfect occasion to your specifications.

Filming

Bishopsgate Institute is a coveted location for filming, with a range of locations, from the grand high ceilings of the Great Hall to the wood-panelled Library and our private courtyard. Our Grade II* listed building features original Victorian tiles along the staircase and corridors, Arts & Crafts friezes and mosaic floors.

Conferences and meetings

Each of the rooms in our Grade II* listed building has an individual history, and all are suited to corporate events, meetings, and seminars. Host your conference in The Great Hall or hold a team away day in The Courtyard Room. Bookings include complimentary wifi for all delegates.

Archives

Bishopsgate Institute's Special Collections and Archives celebrate the lives and communities often neglected by the mainstream, and include one of the UK’s biggest collections of LGBTQ+ history and culture. They document the experiences of everyday people, and the extraordinary individuals and organisations who have strived for social, political and cultural change. The venue invites corporate clients, community organisations, and special-interest groups to discover these stories during their time with us with a tour of the archives, or a hands-on workshop with curated archival materials.
