In its inspiring galleries, visitors are taken on a journey through London’s history from the prehistoric times right up to the present day. The museum is a stunning venue for both daytime and evening events and these unique spaces provide the perfect backdrop for drinks receptions, dinners and conferences.
The museum can be hired exclusively for evening events. On arrival guests are welcomed into the contemporary Entrance Hall for their drinks reception before moving into the London Ellipse Hall, the main event space. Guests have the unique opportunity to enjoy the galleries during their drinks reception. For more intimate events individual galleries can be used to create a completely immersive experience. The Terrace Gallery is also a popular space for dinners, using the adjacent Garden Room for arrival drinks and dancing.
The museum also offers contemporary and versatile spaces for meetings, presentations and training sessions. The three stylish Terrace Rooms provide an ideal venue for a daytime meeting, with natural daylight, presentation equipment and designer furniture throughout. The Terrace Rooms also look over our private garden area which offers a tranquil and peaceful setting for breaks. The Weston Theatre is a purpose built 230-seat auditorium complete with state-of-the-art audiovisual facilities and full blackout facility.
Any event can be enhanced with a tour from our experts and evening events can be brought to life with actors. The new table curiosities package is perfect for dinners .

This year the museum has partnered with Season Events to bring you an all inclusive package sparkling with creative, contemporary and delicious food, from canapé receptions to dinners and after dinner parties.
Your choice of reception or dinner menu, for up to 400 guests for a seated dinner or 800 for a standing drinks reception.
Enjoy your night with a bar offering unlimited beer, wine and soft drinks throughout.
