As the sole surviving component of the once expansive Palace of Whitehall, Banqueting House stands as a testament to early 17th-century architecture. Designed by Inigo Jones and completed in 1622, it introduced Palladian style to England. The building's grandeur is accentuated by its magnificent ceiling, adorned with nine paintings by Peter Paul Rubens, installed in 1636.
