It’s one of the biggest, most special days of your life and something that you will remember for years to come. As the backdrop of the day and the centrepiece of the celebration, the venue will dictate the look and feel of the ceremony and reception so it’s important to find a venue that perfectly complements your style and matches your chosen theme or aesthetic.

After your wedding has been and gone, it will be captured forever in memories and photographs, so choosing a meaningful venue will serve you well. From fairy tale weddings to contemporary occasions, our extensive membership boasts over 80 stunning venues ranging from palaces and historic houses to galleries and museums.

Royal Horticultural Halls

Characterised by its Edwardian features and a vaulted glass ceiling radiating natural light, The Lindley Hall provides an elegant backdrop for wedding celebrations. Their special wedding hire package includes all in-house furniture, private bridal rooms, atmospheric lighting, Wi-Fi, venue operational staff, security, cloakroom, an experienced wedding planner and all day venue hire. With an attentive approach to planning, The Lindley Hall is a sought-after celebration venue.

Wedding hire package in the Lindley Hall starts from £9,600 including VAT and can accommodate up to 480 guests for a dinner dance and 700 for ceremony only.

The Royal Observatory

Founded in 1675 by Charles II and designed by Sir Christopher Wren, The Royal Observatory Greenwich provides an inspirational setting for ceremonies and receptions. The Meridian Courtyard is a superb outdoor entertaining location boasting one of the best panoramic views over London – perfect for wedding photography. Here, guests can enjoy drinks standing on the Prime Meridian of the world, where eastern and western hemispheres meet. The Peter Harrison Planetarium is in stark contrast to its historic counterpart. This modern, versatile venue with contemporary lines and abundant light, houses the late-Victorian Astronomy Centre.

Wedding packages at the Royal Observatory start at £5,400 (including VAT) and can accommodate up to 54 guests  for a ceremony or wedding breakfast in Flamsteed house or The Peter Harrison Planetarium can accommodate 60 for dinner and dancing. The two venues can be hired exclusively or together.

The Queen’s House

The Queen’s House is a truly unique, iconic and stylish wedding venue.  Conceived as a ‘House of Delight’ for James I’s queen, this exquisite former royal residence is set in the green and leafy surroundings of Greenwich Park, London, with spectacular views across the gardens of historic Greenwich to the River Thames and the contrasting skyscrapers of Canary Wharf beyond. Its Great Hall is a magnificent space with its original black and white marble floor and high ceiling and is  a romantic place to exchange vows and toast your marriage.

Wedding packages at The Queen’s House start at £4,000 (including VAT) and can accommodate 120 guests for a ceremony in the Great Hall, standing drinks reception in The Orangery, a wedding breakfast on round tables and standing evening reception with dancing.

Cutty Sark

As one of the world’s most famous beautiful ships, Cutty Sark is a truly awe-inspiring wedding venue. Built in 1869 to carry to carry tea back from China, this sailing clipper travelled the world and survived the high seas to become one of the fastest and greatest of her time. The ship boasts a spectacular riverside setting, with a sweeping view across the Thames and to the city beyond. Her towering masts and rigging rise up into the sky, creating a dramatic silhouette against the London skyline.

Wedding packages at Cutty Sark start from £4200 (including VAT) and can accommodate up to 200 guests for a ceremony and wedding breakfast under the hull and 100 people for a reception or 60 for an intimate ceremony up on the ‘Tween Deck.

Horniman Museum & Gardens

The Horniman Museum and Gardens is an inspiring and surprising attraction in Forest Hill, south London. Since opening the original building, designed by Charles Harrison Townsend and featuring its landmark Clocktower, the Horniman has expanded significantly and the site has been augmented by a number of architecturally-significant developments. The Museum now houses internationally renowned collections of anthropology and musical instruments, a fascinating natural history gallery and an acclaimed aquarium. These are complemented by 16 acres of beautiful gardens which feature a Butterfly House and stunning views across the London skyline. The Gardens are also home to three unique venues which are available for private hire: the Conservatory, the Pavilion and the Bandstand.

Wedding packages at the Horniman Museum and Gardens start from £65 per person (including VAT)  and can accommodate up to 120 guests in a variety of formats.

Royal Institute of British Architects – 66 Portland Place

RIBA’s elegant, Art Deco Florence Hall is a stunning backdrop for anyone’s special day. With original features, a bright and airy terrace with a living wall and a striking staircase leading guests from the entrance of the building to the event space, 66 Portland Place will certainly create lasting memories. The dedicated venue team will work with you from your initial enquiry through to the day itself to ensure that your wedding is bespoke and runs as smoothly as possible. Its in-house catering and AV teams are also on hand to ensure that your pose-ceremony celebrations are just as outstanding for you and your guests.

Wedding packages at the Royal Institute of British Architects start this year at £135 + VAT and can accommodate up to 250 guests seated on round tables and up to 400 for a reception.

The National Gallery

The National Gallery is home to one of the greatest collections of Western European paintings in the world. Located in the heart of London, wedding guests can start by enjoying an evening champagne reception overlooking Trafalgar Square – a truly exceptional backdrop. LSO St Luke’s
