Highlights of 2025

December 2025

As we look forward to the festive period with friends and family, Unique Venues of London would like to bring you some of our venues highlights that have taken place this year, so we can inspire you with your own event planning for the new year ahead. There are venues that have launched new identities and spaces, celebrated anniversary milestones and carried out wonderful refurbishments. Some have hosted events for blockbuster films, pop icons and even royalty, all demonstrating their superb expertise in event management. So, whatever you are looking for next year when it comes to hosting your own event, Unique Venues of London is the perfect place to find your highlight for 2026.

60 Great Queen Street

2025 marked the launch of the new identity for Freemasons’ Hall, 60 Great Queen Street. The refreshed brand brought with it the opportunity to open never-before-seen spaces within the building, alongside a new website and social media presence. We’ve been thrilled with the response to this new era and have since been lucky enough to work with the likes of B&Q, TikTok, WordPress and Twilio, plus a hugely successful London Fashion Week, with three shows taking place on site.

The year culminated in 60 Great Queen Street: Unlocked, a showcase event that revealed the venue’s potential in a bold new light, inspired by Art Deco glamour in partnership with our trusted suppliers.

This is just the beginning of a bold new chapter for one of London’s most iconic addresses.

30 Euston Square

In September 2025, 30 Euston Square reopened our Rooftop Terrace following a half million pound refurbishment. With an increased capacity of up to 130 guests, the terrace is an exciting breakout space for the State Rooms, offering stunning views of the London skyline. Plenty of seating, greenery and outdoor heaters makes the terrace at 30 Euston Square, an ideal setting for year-round events whether it is an evening’s drinks reception or a summer party.

The upgraded terrace was relaunched in September with a Mediterranean inspired evening of food, drink and music. This showcase received amazing feedback from guests and has since become a staple space when discussing the venue as a whole.

No.4 Hamilton Place

2025 has been an exceptional year for events at No.4 Hamilton Place, marking our biggest season of summer parties since before Covid. The house felt more alive than ever, with celebrations in the Argyll Room to conferences in the Bill Boeing Theatre.

What made this year especially meaningful, was the wonderful mix of returning clients and first-time guests. Seeing familiar faces come back, while welcoming new ones brought a renewed sense of energy and excitement to the venue.

We also experienced a notable surge in wedding bookings, transforming the house into a romantic backdrop. Among these, one ceremony stood out as particularly memorable: a beautiful Chuppah, which was held on the terrace. This ceremony is a meaningful part of a Jewish wedding and with the sun shining down, it truly was memorable.

The London Library

On 4 February 2025, The London Library hosted a special event, attended by our Patron, Her Majesty the Queen. The dinner celebrated the Library as one of the UK’s greatest literary institutions, highlighting our charitable work to support writers and widen access to its extensive resources.

Held in the Library’s atmospheric Reading Room, esteemed guests and Library supporters including Sir Tim Rice, Alexandra Shulman, Lady Antonia Fraser, John O’Farrell and Dame Caroline Michel were given an introduction by President of The London Library Helena Bonham Carter CBE. There was a speech from Sir Stephen Fry, and London Library Chair Simon Godwin introduced a participant of the Library’s Emerging Writer’s Programme, Katie Buckley, whose recent novel, Hero, was published by Hachette UK in January. Writer and London Library member, Christopher Simon Sykes also performed a song about the Library, written especially for the evening.

10-11 Carlton House Terrace

This year, we were thrilled to see our venue featured in the new season of Slow Horses. Watching the culmination of an intense five-day filming session back in 2024 was truly wonderful, and we are immensely proud of the hard work and dedication displayed by both our team and the talented crew. Our venue has been fortunate to be chosen as a backdrop for several remarkable movies and TV series in recent years.

This has been a delightful change for everyone involved in the team, especially for the fans who eagerly anticipate each new release. Being part of such creative endeavours not only elevates our reputation but also enriches the experience for our team, fostering a sense of pride and accomplishment. We look forward to continuing this exciting journey and contributing to more exceptional projects in the future.

Islands in Infinities Book Launch @ Museum of Brands

The Museum of Brands was delighted to welcome Sir Brian May, Professor Derek Ward-Thompson, and astrophotographer J-P Metsavainio for an out-of-this-world book launch celebrating their new release, Islands in Infinity: Galaxies 3-D. It was an incredible evening filled with galactic-themed cocktails, inspiring talks, and stunning glimpses into the book’s cosmic imagery.

Planning an event? From intimate book launches to brand activations and private receptions, the Museum of Brands unique spaces offer a standout setting that guests never forget. If it’s good enough for a rock legend…

National Army Museum

2025 has been another exciting and varied year for the National Army Museum. Our venue hire offer has continued to grow, with a range of conferences, private parties, dinners and even our first ever wedding reception! Being involved in such a special day was a real pleasure for our team, whilst seeing the happy couple enjoy their first dance under our suspended Lynx helicopter was a highlight of the year.

The imagination of our clients as well as the dedication and creativity of our suppliers, has made this another memorable year at the Museum.

Science Museum: From legacy to lift off

2025 was a year of transformation for the Science Museum, starting with its ‘Legacy Event’ - an exclusive evening where over 50 clients gathered to bid farewell to the iconic Exploring Space gallery and preview exciting plans for the future. Guests enjoyed fine dining, immersive entertainment, and the premiere of The Legacy film, highlighting how venue hire helps the museum’s mission to inspire futures and expand STEM accessibility.

The year also saw the launch of the new Space gallery, now available for evening hire. Surrounded by Moon rocks, mission capsules, and astronaut suits, guests can host receptions for up to 400 or dinners for 200 in a truly ‘out of this world’ setting.

Alongside these milestones, the museum welcomed major events for clients spanning a wide range of industries - from beauty and healthcare to finance, education, and sport - including CeraVe, World Rugby, Weatherbys Bank, University of Leeds, Imperial College, and St. James’s Place. The mix of sectors the museum attracts cements its reputation as one of London’s most dynamic and versatile venues. The journey continues in 2026 - watch this space!

Somerset House

2025 marked a milestone year for Somerset House, celebrating 25 years as the home of cultural innovators. Their 25th Anniversary Cultivation Event in September welcomed 200 guests to the Edmond J. Safra Fountain Court for a multisensory evening celebrating the Courtyard as a premier destination for events, brand activations, and cultural gatherings. A new promotional video launched during the event highlighted the vital role of venue hire in supporting Somerset House’s cultural programme and creative community while preserving the Grade I listed site.

Other standout moments included Dior’s ‘Fort Sauvage’ activation in the Edmond J. Safra Fountain Court – a fully immersive, multi-sensory takeover attracting global media attention, and launching the Moving Venue x Somerset House Summer Season 2026, offering large-scale summer events for up to 2,500 guests.

Somerset House venue hire team also expanded offerings with the Private View Receptions package, refreshed conference, summer and festive packages, as well as a brand new wedding portfolio – demonstrating its continued commitment to creativity, innovation, and exceptional event experiences.

Tower Bridge

This year at Tower Bridge, we revised our venue capacity and hosted our largest event to date - 350 guests across the Walkways.

It was a fun filled evening with trumpeters to greet guests on their arrival, a live band in the East Walkway and roaming entertainment in the West Walkway. Framed by the lights of London’s skyline, guests enjoyed delicious cocktails, canapes and bowl foods. It was a great evening enjoyed by all!

London Museum Spaces: Turning events into epic experiences

2025 at 150 London Wall saw an exciting rise in events transforming the entire museum into immersive worlds. From cultural showcases to gaming extravaganzas, these full-takeover experiences transformed the venue into a dynamic stage for creativity and connection.

One standout moment was hosting the Jurassic World Evolution 3 Preview, where visitors stepped into a prehistoric adventure before the game’s official release - an unforgettable fusion of storytelling, and cutting-edge entertainment.

The team at 150 London Wall also worked with Games London for their New Game Plus initiative, bringing together developers, fans, and industry leaders for a dynamic celebration of innovation in gaming.

2026 sees the Terrace Rooms take centre stage at the museum - light-filled spaces overlooking a lush green garden, complete with a private terrace for a more intimate and cosy atmosphere. Ideal for conferences, celebrations, and team-building, the Terrace Rooms are available for even more epic experiences!

Sir John Soane’s Museum

Sir John Soane’s Museum has played proud host to many brilliant events this year, from collaborative Soane Lates and curated Twilight Tours to elegant Exclusive Dinners and atmospheric Candlelit Tours.

A particular highlight of hosting Dinners is always having the opportunity to see Soane’s remarkable Library-Dining Room being brought to life. Guests are treated to a unique and intimate dining experience in this home. The many mirrors of Soane’s elegant Library-Dining Room bathe the room and its antiquities in candlelight and enhance this wonderful setting.

There have been a great many striking tablescapes put together in the Museum throughout 2025, but a particular highlight was a dinner at which the decorations were inspired by the Egypt: Influencing British Design 1775 – 2025 Exhibition; it looked stunning!

Chiswick House & Gardens

Image credit: @ Chiswick House & Gardens

It was a fabulous year for venue hire at Chiswick House & Gardens Trust, working in collaboration with our partners, Create. We were thrilled to open our spaces to a range of events, from weddings and private parties, to corporate events. The timeless beauty and romance of these spaces lent themselves well to weddings, ceremonies and anniversaries in particular, keeping the House's history as a space for celebration alive. We even hosted one ceremony with a tawny owl as a ring bearer!

We also had the opportunity to host a variety of other events, including a First Holy communion in Chiswick House, summer barbeques, memorable birthday parties and a private event for an iconic actress. Our spaces were also featured on the silver screen thanks to our partners, Film Fixer. Notably, you can see the Ionic Temple on Netflix's Sandman, bringing the show's mystical story to life.

In Autumn, Create welcomed hundreds of newly-engaged couples to a special wedding showcase to spotlight our offer. The event included an assortment of catering options, florists and much more to help visitors plan their dream wedding in our Grade I-listed venue.

We also hosted a bat mitzvah and a bar mitzvah, with one opting for alfresco dining set against the backdrop of beautiful Chiswick House.

SEA LIFE London Aquarium

2025 has been an incredible year of events here at SEA LIFE London Aquarium, with the venue hosting an exciting mix of celebrations, corporate gatherings, networking evenings, and private dinners. From candlelit meals beside the Ocean Tunnel to lively drinks receptions in the Coral Reef zone, every event this year made full use of the aquarium’s immersive, one-of-a-kind backdrop.

We’ve welcomed businesses, charities, creative teams, and social groups - each bringing a different energy to the space and helping us showcase just how versatile the aquarium can be. No two events looked the same, which is exactly how we like it.

A huge thank you to Seasoned, our catering and event partner, whose team delivered exceptional food and smooth service throughout the year, helping our clients bring their ideas to life.

As we look ahead to 2026, we’re excited for another year of unforgettable moments beneath the waves.

The HAC

Celebrating a year of remarkable events at the HAC

This year brought a series of memorable moments to the HAC, with two major events showcasing the strength and versatility of the venue.

Summer welcomed the return of London Concours for its ninth consecutive year. The five acres of the Artillery Garden provided a stunning setting for rare, luxury and historic cars, all curated from private collectors. More than ten thousand visitors enjoyed a refined garden party atmosphere with quiet luxury brands, elegant hospitality and daily feature displays that celebrated the very best of automotive design.

Artillery Garden also came alive for the Standard Chartered Great City Race, which marked its twentieth edition. More than five thousand runners set off from the grounds, creating an energising start to a route that wound through the City. The race continued its commitment to community impact by supporting Futuremakers by Standard Chartered, helping to progress youth economic inclusion worldwide.

Central Hall Westminster

For Central Hall Westminster, a key 2025 highlight was the launch of the new street-level Wesley’s Café and renovation of our new event space, the Susanna Wesley. The café move created a vibrant, accessible hub for the community, while its former location was transformed into a space for memorable events. Funding was secured through partners Green & Fortune, and teams worked tirelessly on designs, branding, menus, and even a bespoke mural celebrating local culture. On July 14th, the café opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and has been busy ever since.

Meanwhile, the basement redevelopment began, creating the Susanna Wesley (or The Wesley Suite when combined with Aldersgate). Modernising a Grade II* listed building required patience and consideration and with support from AV partners, WhiteLight, work continues to improve power, connectivity and acoustics for the best events.

We look forward to the year ahead and to using the space for many exciting events!

Trinity House

In a busy year of corporate bookings and weddings, a particularly joyful and colourful event which took place at Trinity House was a three-day showcase of the best of the Dominican Republic celebrating its distinctive culture, food, art, dance and music, co-hosted by the Embassy of the Dominican Republic and the British Chamber of Commerce in the island country.

the Design Museum

A standout moment from 2025 at the Design Museum

2025 was a year full of creativity and unforgettable experiences at the Design Museum. We welcomed event organisers and creative teams to explore our versatile spaces, bringing their ideas to life against a backdrop of iconic design and striking architecture.

A standout highlight was the launch of Wes Anderson: The Archives, offering a truly unique opportunity to host Wes-inspired events. The exhibition, which runs until July 2026, will provide inspiration for imaginative events, from private viewings to fully themed parties, while the Wes Anderson Afternoon Tea adds a playful twist for team get-togethers or client entertaining.
