We are all looking forward to a wonderful summer this year and what better time than now to book your summer event. Our member venues have a fantastic number of spaces and packages to choose from. You can enjoy panoramic views of London’s skyline from versatile rooftops, experience idyllic gardens with stylish marquees, delight in succulent al fresco banquets and sunset receptions amongst architectural masterpieces, cool off or take cover in open plan light filled atriums or terrace rooms. Buffini Chao Deck at the National Theatre

The Buffini Chao Deck is the ultimate summer party venue in central London. Perched on top of the iconic National Theatre, and offering panoramic views of London’s skyline, the versatile rooftop space can accommodate any type of summer event, including sit-down dinners, all-day meetings, creative away days and drinks receptions with live entertainment.

Westminster Abbey

College Garden, hidden within the walls of the Abbey precincts, has been in cultivation for over 900 years. In monastic times, it was used to grow food and medicinal herbs for the occupants of the Abbey. 

Today, the garden is an idyllic venue for reception, dinner as well as al fresco events of any kind. Guests will enjoy views of Westminster Abbey and Victoria Tower, part of the Palace of Westminster, and the use of a stylish marquee with a decked porch area as wet weather contingency.

Somerset House

Somerset House offers the perfect central location for summer events. Set against the backdrop of Somerset House's iconic 18th century façade and with sweeping views across the Thames, the River Terrace  is their most exclusive outdoor space, with capacity of up to 500 guests. 

For the very first time, during May, June and September 2025, there will be a stretch tent in situ for exclusive use on the River Terrace. Find out more information on their exclusive summer offer here.

The 2025 Summer season is set to be a special one at 66 Portland Place as it marks the last opportunity for a sunshine-filled celebration on the terrace before our temporary two-year closure for a major refurbishment. 

Think pop up bars with innovative non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks, seasonal foodie favourites, garden games, your own private outdoor oasis aka the Florence Hall terrace, plus our biggest indoor entertaining space, and so much more. 

If you’ve a specific theme in mind – we’ll help you deck the terrace out and just so you know, nothing is too ‘out there’ for us! And all for a very competitive price!

National Army Museum

Summer Events at NAM 

With several open-plan, light filled spaces, the National Army Museum provides a fantastic setting for your summer party this year. Whether hosting a reception in our impressive Foyer at the front of the Museum, or a private party in the glass-fronted café overlooking the Royal Hospital Road, guests can unwind and enjoy an evening of fantastic food and drink. 

Our new, after-hours Boardroom reception package adds an immersive experience option for guests to enjoy. Arriving to a welcome drink in our stunning Atrium, guests will be taken on a journey through the Museum with one of our soldier stories, before heading to the Boardroom for drinks and canapes provided by our fantastic in-house caterer, Searcys.

London Museum Docklands

Summer inspiration at London Museum Docklands 

London Museum Docklands offers a unique setting for creative and inspiring summer days or nights spent with clients or colleagues. 

The museum’s waterside terrace is a hidden gem for summer celebrations and a firm favourite with clients who want to enjoy the London sunshine set against the backdrop of West India Quay and the Canary Wharf skyline. With catering options including a BBQ and food stations, guests can enjoy dinner al fresco in style on the terrace!

London Museum Spaces

Celebrate summer in the City with a fun-filled party at 150 London Wall. Whether you opt for a full day event to make the most of the longer days, or it’s an evening party, we’ve the perfect package that will fit the bill!

The Terrace Rooms and patio area, located in front of our Rotunda Garden, offer a flexible space for team socials, client parties and networking drinks accommodating up to 250 guests across the Terrace Gallery and Garden Room.

This Summer’s packages have been created in collaboration with Seasoned Events, with options including a drinks reception from £138+VAT pp with canapes and bowl food; a BBQ package featuring two mains, two sides and a dessert from £128+VAT pp; or two food stations and canapes from £180+ VAT pp. Each package includes 2 glasses of prosecco or summer cocktails for the first hour and a further drinks allocation to keep conversations flowing and the summer fun going, while a luxury upgrade package is also available.

St Martin-in-the-Fields Courtyard is a stone’s throw away from Charing Cross with a spectacular view of the East Window, a piece of art, created using mouth-blown clear glass panels etched on both sides with a subtle, feathery pattern. Built in the 18th century, the neoclassical style church courtyard is available as partial or fully private hires and can host up to 300pax events. Summer at the Science Museum 

The Smith Centre at the Science Museum is a standout setting for exclusive summer celebrations with its open-plan outdoor courtyard available to host drinks receptions and intimate dinner parties. 

The Smith Centre occupies a building originally constructed in 1890 and reflects this history in the design of its event spaces. With four rooms of varying sizes with capacity for up to 200 guests, you can hire the Smith Centre for a daytime meeting and extend the occasion with a drinks reception, party or private dinner in the courtyard. 

For an alternative summer social, the museum’s interactive gaming gallery, Power Up, provides the opportunity for a fun-filled evening and some friendly competition to match! Battle it out in multiplayer showdowns, relive childhood favourite games and explore cutting-edge virtual reality experiences as part of a team games night!

The HAC

A summer of celebrations at the HAC

This summer, the Honourable Artillery Company (HAC) will take you back in time as it hosts a traditional Great British Summer Fête in the heart of London. The Summer Terrace will be decked out with colourful bunting and blooming wildflowers with the cheerful sounds of maypole dancing setting the scene for some traditional summer fun.

Fairground games like splat the rat and the ever-popular Tic-Tac-Toe will have everyone reminiscing about their childhood fêtes and memories of a time gone by. Our catering partner Searcys will be on hand with a selection of seasonal food, including a canapé and bowl food reception, a Savour-the-Summer grazing buffet, and a British BBQ feast, all created by Executive Head Chef Andy Saupe.

Throughout the summer, the HAC hosts well-known events such as London Concours and the Standard Chartered Great City Race, adding to the lively atmosphere.

The summer will soon be upon us with traditional fete games, seasonal flavours, and a beautiful sun-drenched setting all coming together for a truly memorable season in the sun.

The Design Museum is offering a selection of summer event packages across its unique spaces, including the outdoor Plaza and Dame Sylvia Crowe Garden, as well as the Atrium. These spaces canbe booked individually or combined for a tailored event experience.

The Summer Garden Party & Atrium Reception Package kicks off with an open-air drinks reception in the Plaza and Garden, before moving indoors for a private exhibition viewing and reception in the Atrium. The Summer Party Atrium Package is an indoor celebration set in the striking Atrium space, offering catering, a DJ, LED lighting, a PA system, and access to a summer exhibition. Kensington Palace

Kensington Palace is set to unveil 'Dress Codes', a captivating exhibition running from 13 March to 30 November 2025. This showcase delves into the conventions of royal attire, highlighting the impact of fashion when traditional boundaries are challenged. 

In a pioneering initiative, Historic Royal Palaces has collaborated with local youth groups, engaging participants aged 14-17 as 'Young Producers'. Their contemporary interpretations of historical dress codes will be featured, bridging the past with modern fashion perspectives. 

'Dress Codes' offers a unique exploration of royal fashion's evolution, reflecting on how attire communicates roles, status, and individuality. The exhibition is included in palace admission, with members enjoying complimentary entry.
